Current Status on Cheezy Mac Bowl Playthingz 01

Image
For now my mom's house is my film studio, and my dad's house is my game studio, I haven't even made any games lately because the laptop I use to make movies isn't the same as the one I use to make games. Plus I don't have a car right now, so I can't just drive to my dad's house anytime I want to. The next games I'm going to make are ones I've dreamt of making and they're still on paper, I planned them for fun. Just like Colton Leach Films, Cheezy Mac Bowl Playthingz isn't a full-fledged business yet.

My Top 5 Video Game Commercials

These are the commercials that drew my attention to the games I still love to this day!  #5. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door I don't have a GameCube anymore, when I look back at some of the games, they're just nostalgic. But I'm glad to have the remake of this game on my Switch! #4. Sonic Spinball My NES, Super NES and Genesis stopped working a couple years ago and that makes me sad, but I'll get new copies of them one day. This commercial's just hysterical and Sonic Spinball was a cool game and I never even beat it! #3. PacMan World 2 I had PacMan World 2 on my GameCube and it was a blast, now I have a PS2 and my taste in games have developed more, I bet getting a copy of PacMan World 2 would be worth it! #2. Super Mario Bros. 2 I love Super Mario Bros. 2! This commercial didn't have to go this hard! #1. Super Mario Bros. 3 OM Gosh! This is an epic advertisement for one of my favorite games of all time!!!

Here's Where The Design For "Cheezy Mac Bowl Playthingz" Came From

for my emerging game developer, I wanted to come up with a name that stood out in a way to brighten peoples' days: a bowl of macaroni and cheese was picked because that's been my favorite food to eat since I was in the 4th grade, I picked "Playthingz" just because it was more whimsical than "Interactive", "Games" or "Software" and I picked a joystick as the gimmick because those were what started the video gaming industry, I didn't think it would stand out enough if I picked a modern controller or a joycon. So now you know.

How My Love For Gaming Started

Image
I grew up in the early 2000s, the very first video games I've ever played were Plug 'n' Plays. These were the ones I had and they were a blast! But those aren't console games, the very first console I ever had in my house was XBox, which we did not own it belonged to the college my dad worked at and this was one of the games I played. But none of those topped off the game series that changed my life forever! I've been into Super Mario since kindergarten, I'm still mad-obsessed with Nintendo and I shed a tear as I remember being little having so much Mario merchandise and playing games like Luigi's Mansion.

My very first video game

Hello, I am happy to post on my very new blog for the first time! My name is Colton Leach, I'm a filmmaker / animator and aspiring voice actor. But I'm now also an emerging game designer. I never went to college, my learnings came from guides I read growing up, the internet and television documentaries about my influences. Well, a couple years ago, I sign up for the free version of GDevelop and I had a blast with it. I only got to make three games with it, but here's my very first video game I ever made. Adventures In Mess Making | Play on gd.games The game is based on a short film I made in my mother's workspace.
